Dr. Marcia Boyd: President of the American College of Dentists (ACD)

Dr. Marcia Boyd is serving as the President of the American College of Dentists (ACD). She will complete her term at the annual meeting in Las Vegas this fall and will then assume the Chair of the College Foundation. She is the second woman to serve in this capacity since the formation of the ACD in 1920. She is the third Canadian president (the last being some 42 years ago); who is "proud to be the President, proud to be a Canadian and proud to be a woman". The mission of the ACD is to promote Ethics, Excellence, Professionalism and Leadership. There are 7400 Fellows worldwide.
