Jeff Williams, ROI Corporations Director, Corporate Affairs & Development was on hand, along with Wayne Raborn, Senior Associate for the Prairies, to deliver a Brown bag Lunch Hour Seminar to over 45 third and fourth year University of Alberta dental students titled: Life After Graduation: Associateship, Post-grad Training or Practice Purchase. Dr. Williams remarked on the influence of demographic trends within the profession both from a practitioner and patient point of view. A brief discussion followed on how this influenced practice value. Lastly, the students were encouraged to think of rural and remote Canada as preferred places to practise, especially in light of the pending distribution problem of dental manpower in these (soon to be) underserviced areas. |
At the conclusion of the presentation, Wayne Raborn and Jeff Williams congratulate the recipients of restaurant vouchers: Melinda Wang, Chris Baba and Dave Burnham.
